MEMBER SURVEY: Have Your Say!

Dear Members,

As you would be aware, we are fast approaching our first National Congress in early June.

Delegates representing a cross section of our membership will participate in this historic event but we would also like to hear from you.

With the assistance of the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies and the University of NSW we have designed a survey to seek the input of Members.

Your ideas and opinions will be incorporated with the outcomes from the National Congress and will help set the direction for our first elected Board to pursue over the next 12 months.

This is our first Member survey – we will continue to use different ways to seek Members’ views as our organisation grows. If you have any ideas on how we can engage our Members in the future we would be very pleased to hear from you. You can contact us at: membership@nationalcongress.com.au.

The Survey

The survey asks you to identify the big issues that are impacting upon our mobs. It also asks for your views on proposals to reform Australia’s constitution to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

There are many issues that could potentially make up our policy agenda. It is important to prioritise so we can influence Government policy and achieve change.

The Congress is a member-driven organisation so it’s important that you have your say. I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to complete the survey and look forward to working with you to get the best outcomes for our people.
