National Congress Director Nominations Announced

Co-Chairs, Josephine Bourne and Sam Jeffries have welcomed the 25 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nominees standing for election as Directors.

The Co-Chairs say these are the historic final steps towards forming the first elected  Board of the National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples.

The Board will be decided by a vote of Delegates at the inaugural National Congress meeting in Sydney next week.

The ballot will be conducted at the meeting by an independent returning officer from the Australian Election Company, Mr Duke Ellis.
